Liposomes

It isn't an ingredientIt's a precision vehicle

A nanometric phospholipid bilayer vesicle, the same architecture as your own cell membranes. It encapsulates hydrophilic actives in its aqueous core and lipophilic ones inside the bilayer. One single system for two different chemical natures.

The problem

You pay for the most expensive item on the market, and the seller leaves it at the door

  • It stays on the surface and never reaches the layers that matter
  • It oxidizes when exposed to light and oxygen before it takes effect
  • You increase the dose to compensate, and you increase the cost per unit

The solution

The liposome rewrites the entire equation

  • It penetrates the stratum corneum and is released into the viable epidermis
  • It remains shielded inside the bilayer until the exact moment
  • Less effort for the same result, formula after formula
  • Biocompatibilidad
  • Nanotechnology
  • Encapsulation
  • Bioavailability
  • Controlled release
  • Penetration

Why they are superior

50–500 nm

01 · Particle size

The scale that the skin does allow to pass through

Nanometric vesicles, hundreds of times smaller than a pore. At that scale, the active ingredient no longer remains on the surface but begins to move.

Up to 10×

02 · Higher bioavailability

Get to the layers where it all happens

The bilayer fuses with the stratum corneum and releases the active ingredient into the viable epidermis. It does not force its way in; rather, it negotiates entry at the molecular level.

03 · Affinity with the skin

Your skin doesn't reject it, it recognizes it

It has the same structure as human cell membranes. The skin recognizes it as part of itself, not as a foreign agent that needs to be blocked.

04 · Estabilidad

Retinol that doesn't oxidize, vitamin C that doesn't degrade

Encapsulation protects the most sensitive active ingredients from light, oxygen, and pH until the exact moment of release.

The comparison

Same active, different result

The only thing that changes is the vehicle. What changes for your product product, it changes everything.

Bioavailability

10×

Up to ten times more bioavailable than the same active ingredient applied on its own. That's the difference between investing in an ingredient and wasting it.

Penetration

Mechanism of action

From the bottle to the deep layers of the skin, step by step.

Step 01

Encapsulation

Your active ingredient is incorporated into the liposome. It is protected from oxidation, light, and degradation.

Step 02

Integration

It is incorporated into your formula without altering its organoleptic properties.

Step 03

Skin contact

The lipid bilayer recognizes the stratum corneum and fuses with it. It does not force its way in; it negotiates entry.

Step 04

Controlled release

The active ingredient is gradually released into the deep layers of the epidermis.

Bioavailability

Higher bioavailability than when the same active ingredient is administered in its free form

Step 05

Bioavailability up to 10× higher. Less waste. More measurable result.

The business case

Encapsulationpays for itself

10×

Greater bioavailability

Encapsulated active ingredients work where free ones fall short. You stop paying twice for the same result: once for the raw material and once for the compensatory dose.

On the skin

Where they become formula

Five areas where liposomal encapsulation changes what an active ingredient can achieve in your finished product.

  • Retinol · Peptides · CoQ10

    Antiedad

It shields retinol from light and oxygen and gradually releases it into the viable epidermis: maximum potency without the irritating spike

  • Kojic acid · Arbutin · Vitamin C

    Despigmentantes

It stabilizes photosensitive ingredients such as vitamin C and directs their action to the source of hyperpigmentation

  • Low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid

    Deep hydration

It delivers low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid beyond the stratum corneum, where hydration actually persists

  • UV-stabilized filters

    Sun protection

It encapsulates UV filters to improve their photostability and reduce direct contact that irritates the skin

  • Anti-inflammatory products for sensitive skin

    Calmantes

It delivers the active ingredients steadily to reactive skin, modulating their release to prevent an initial shock

Frequently asked questions

A liposome has a well-defined membrane structure (phospholipid bilayer) that can encapsulate both hydrophilic and lipophilic active ingredients. A nanoemulsion is simply an ultra-fine oil droplet in an aqueous phase. Liposomes offer greater control over drug release, better penetration, and the ability to encapsulate active ingredients in two layers.

On the contrary, they generally improve them. Well-formulated liposomes provide a lighter, more refined texture. Active ingredients with a strong odor or heavy texture are masked within the vesicle.

Not just any ingredient. Feasibility depends on the active ingredient's molecular weight, solubility, and stability. Our technical team evaluates compatibility before beginning any development.

It depends on the product line and the type of development. For catalog products, the quantities are within the reach of medium-sized laboratories. For Tailor-Made products, this is determined during the technical consultation phase.
